Apartments

The four apartments for guests are all of a different size and arrangement, with many authentic details. They all have their own staircase and consist of a living room with areas for seats and meals, a small kitchen with cooking facilities, plus a fridge, separate bedroom(s), a bathroom with a shower, wc and bidet. The apartments are relatively cool in the summer, due to the thick walls and hatches. Heating has been installed in each apartment for the colder months. There is a lot of outdoor space; there are several benches in the sun or shade around the house and in the garden for our guests. You can enjoy the fine view in all peacefulness with a fine glass of wine, or read for hours on a bed with a book from the library. What do you think of a relaxing bath in the hot tub at sundown?

The apartments are named after father Francesco and the three sons Fiorlino, Sesto and Filipo Thomassini, the last Italian owners of what is now ‘Sopra e Sotto’. Sesto and Filipo are still alive and live in the area; especial Sesto regularly pays a visit.

Apartment Fiorlino

Apartment Fiorlino is the apartment for two persons on the ground floor. Originally this was one of the stalls, and has now been magically transformed into a cosy apartment. You will find everything you need in the small kitchen to make a good breakfast, lunch or hot meal. Fiorlino has a fine bathroom and you sleep under old beams..  

Apartment Sesto

Apartment Sesto is a roomy apartment for two to three persons on the 1st floor of the house. This apartment is very suitable for a family with a child. It has a stair to the attic where a 3rd sleeping place has been made. Sesto has a comfortable seating area and the kitchen has all the amenities..  

Appartement Filipo

Apartment Filipo is an apartment for two persons. Your living room looks out across the valley. It has a roomy bedroom with ‘pietra’ walls and a cotta ceiling.

Apartment Francesco

Apartment Francesco is the biggest apartment, for four to five persons. It has two separate bedrooms and its own terrace on the 1st floor on the south-west side of the house. There is an old fireplace and even a pizza oven in the kitchen. The floors and ceilings are of cotta tiles.

Combinations

The four apartments can also be rented in combination, or all together. It is also possible to rent the communal kitchen and library, e.g. for a group of friends or a family of up to 12 persons.

There are various options for groups in order to extend your stay with provided meals and/or activities. You can make your wishes known via the contact form or the telephone. We will be pleased to put together a made-to-measure arrangement for you on the basis of your wishes!
